What makes the Mostar Culture Shock Unique:

The Retro Adventures Mostar team has fully restored an old and forgotten firebrigades IMV van built in 1975, giving it a new color and purpose. The IMV van was the first car ever built in Socialist Yugoslavia, debuting for the first time in 1962. It was the main vehicle of all the Government institutions: Police, Fire brigades, Hospitals, National Railways, Airports and more…… After a long pause, the IMV Van is ready to start rolling again…….

Mostar is filled with incredible examples of brutalist and surrealistic socialist architecture. Together we will explore the ruins of a forgotten yet super inspiring architectural Era. Some of the locations are: the Razvitak shopping mall, the Zvjezdare and Beirut complexes, the Toblerone Bank and The Partisan Memorial.

During the tour we will listen to music and learn about the greatest bands and most unusual musical movements in the Balkans. At the same time, we will dive in the history of filmography with live explanation and presentation of the most interesting and recognised movies in this part of the world.

Mostar is home to a Street Art Festival with artists coming from all over the world to prove their skills. During the tour we will explore entire districts with dozens of graffiti covering entire buildings. A new face for the city of Mostar, an unusual way the city has recovered from the years of destruction in the 90’s.
